WHAT IS A RECOVERY COACH?

  • Assists in the development of an Action Plan geared to help guide an individual to realize and reach their full potential, in any area of life. 

  • Works to help identify the underlying causes deterring individual from reaching said full potential. Further, works to identify both the strengths and weaknesses of the individual.

  • Works toward personal goals in order to achieve greater independence and an improved quality of life. 

  • Helps build a solid foundation in which supports the daily structure to achieve maximum value from the day, including but not limited to time-management and daily goal setting.

  • Steers the individual from any negative belief-sets that are causing a lack of production in a given area(s) by implementing specific learned tactics to transform from a negative mindset to a positive. 

  • Builds a trusting and lasting relationship with the individual.

  • Demonstrates competency in their recovery from addiction and utilizes their own lived experience and their use of successful coping skills to support Persons in their journey in recovery. 

  • Works toward personal goals in order to achieve greater independence and an improved quality of life. 

  • Helps build a solid foundation in which supports the daily structure and re-integration of Persons back into the daily life of society.

  • Assists Persons to build skills that help promote their own recovery and self-sufficiency by providing them education about how to take an active role in their own treatment. 

  • Assists and supports Persons self-determination and decision-making in their treatment planning.
